Help Free Mr.
Peter George Kimber - Falsely
Imprisoned in Mexico
|
|
John Joseph
Kennedy has been standing
up, and doing everything in
his power, as Justice of the
Peace International, as a
Humanitarian, and just as a
decent human being, for Mr.
Peter George Kimber, falsely
arrested and imprisoned in
Mexico.
|
Who is Peter Kimber?
Peter George Kimber is a 44
year old father of three (two
daughters and one son) and
step-father to four girls. He
also has a three-year old
granddaughter who he has never
met due to some tragic
injustice. He is a Canadian
citizen born in Welland, Ontario
and his last Canadian residence
was Mission, British Columbia.
Peter is currently being held
captive in a Mexican prison
after being falsely accused of a
charge of which he is innocent.
He is currently trapped in a
very corrupt justice system that
treats foreign prisoners like
pawns in a deadly game where
deceit, extortion and bribery
rule the day.
He has testified that he has
been beaten more than 100 times
in prison and injected with
tainted blood from dirty needles
by the prison guards for not
giving them money he doesn't
have. He has received death
threats for speaking out and
has witnessed the murder and
torture of other inmates
in prison.
A message from
John Joseph Kennedy
about Peter Kimber -
January 19, 2007
Many people have asked
how, and why, I became
involved in Mr. Kimber's
case and I would like to
share it with you.
My dear friend, Dr. Anne
Marie Evers contacted me
in October 2006 after
meeting Peter's young
daughters, Julia and
Jessica, at a conference
in British Columbia,
Canada. Anne Marie asked
if I would join them in
prayer each night to
pray for Peter and for
his safe release from a
barbaric and corrupt
prison in Mexico. I
naturally agreed. It
began with a prayer.
Then another and
another. The prayers
continue to this day.
The more I prayed for
Peter and his children,
and learned about this
tragedy, I was
personally moved at a
very deep level because
an injustice and a
tragedy very similar to
the Kimber case happened
to me and my family in
the 1990's. It lasted a
decade and is still not
over.
I know how it feels to
be a victim of
international
political-legal
corruption. I also know
how it feels to
experience unspeakable loss,
grief and
despair after the
political assassination
of my compassionate and
courageous little
sister, Cecilia Madeline
Kennedy. Cecilia gave
her life for the sake of
International Justice
and Peace in 1997. Her
sacrifice reminds me of
the biblical passage:
The Greatest Gift to
give is one's life for
another!
Cecilia freed many
Americans, including
our brother, Christopher
Patrick Kennedy, who was
falsely imprisoned in
Bangkok, Thailand in
1991. At only 26 years
of age, she began her
mission of mercy and
single-handedly put
together a brilliant
International legal
defense, took our
brother’s case to the
Supreme Court of
Thailand and
won! Thus,
overturning his life
sentence. She also
lobbied for the
Extradition Treaty
between the United
States and Thailand to
be ratified to allow
those convicted of major
drug crimes, especially
those falsely accused
and imprisoned, to be
returned to the United
States. At the time
Thailand was one of the
few countries that did
not have this in place.
Although her case has
never been brought to
justice, my family and
I also know victory! The
victory and safe return
of Peter to his children
and family are my only
goals. I have had the
honor of getting to know
Peter, some of his dear
children, family and
friends and will
continue to do all I can
to being justice and
freedom to Peter and his
children.
I have had the privilege
of speaking with
Peter many times in
prison and have heard
first-hand the fear in
his voice for his
personal safety. I
have learned of the
brutality, corruption
and inhumane treatment
he has, and
is, enduring. I have
also heard his uncommon
courage and
grace-under-pressure,
his deep love and
concern for his
children, and others who
are less fortunate than
he. I have also been
touched to hear
Peter's Faith in God
growing in one of the
darkest corners of the
world.
The odyssey of Peter and
his entire family is one
of the most extreme
cases of crimes against
humanity, children,
and an entire family. It
is eerily similar
to what my family and I
experienced but God
brought us through and I
am honored to return the
favor to help Peter and
his family: Pay it
forward!
May God continue to hold
Peter and his family
in His Loving Care and
Godspeed his safe
release and journey home
to his children.
Sincerely,
John Kennedy
